Two Clara-von-Simson-Prizes for Faculty II Graduates

Antje Bjelde and Elisabeth Schlottmann Receive Clara-von-Simson-Prize
The Faculty II congratulates the mathematician Antje Bjelde and the physicist Elisabeth Schlottmann on the award of the Clara-von-Simson Prize 2015. Ms. Bjelde won the second prize of 1,500€ with her thesis "On variations of the Facility Location Problem", Ms. Schlottmann's work entitled “Quantum tomography to self-organized grown InGaAs quantum dots " brought her the third prize, endowed with 1,000 €.
The Clara-von-Simson-Prize is awarded by the women's representative of TU Berlin since 2007 and acknowledges the best thesis paper, especially from the natural sciences and engineering. In addition, nominees need to show socio-political commitment.
