Peter K. Friz just became the latest Einstein Professor at the Faculty II. Various universities from around the world made offers to lure him away, but with the support from the Einstein Foundation Berlin it was made possible to keep him in Berlin. Peter K. Friz will use the additional funds provided by the Einstein Foundation to strengthen his research group at the Institute for Mathematics where he is professor for financial mathematics.
