Heisenberg scholarship for Dr André Fielicke

The faculty II congratulates Dr André Fielicke from the Institute of Optics and Atomic Physics on his Heisenberg scholarship! With this programme the DFG addresses scientists who already fulfill all requirements for tenures professorships. The aim of the funding is to enable them to continue with key research topics and thereby increase their scientific reputation while preparing for a future scientific leadership position. The funding initially runs for a period of three years and can be extended for a further two years.

Mr Fielicke’s research group is associated with Prof Otto Dopfer’s chair of “Laser Molecular Spectroscopy and Environmental Physics”. André Fielicke is interested in the activation of small molecules on metal clusters in the gas phase and will investigate the characterization of the photoelectron circular dichroism of chiral, anionic metal cluster complexes as part of his Heisenberg scholarship.
