Mobility with partner countries - Erasmus + Key Action 107

What is Erasmus+?

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s program for education, youth and sport.

Erasmus+ comprises three key actions (KA) the first of which covers the promotion of learning mobility of individuals. Part of this key action is KA 107 which promotes mobility projects with non-European partner countries worldwide.

What can be funded through Erasmus+ KA 107?

  • Periods abroad for students as part of their studies: Bachelor, Master and PhD for periods of 3-12 months.
  • Periods abroad for university staff (for the purposes of teaching, continuing education and further training) for periods of between five days and two months.

Grants can be applied for by students as well as university staff for both incoming projects (from a partner country to Germany) and outgoing projects (from Germany to a partner country).

Financial support

  • Students travelling from a partner country to Germany (incoming): a grant of EUR 800 per month
  • Students travelling from Germany to a partner country (outgoing): a grant of EUR 650 per month
  • University staff coming to Germany (incoming): EUR 120 per day*
  • University staff going from Germany (outgoing): EUR 160 per day*

*(up to the 14th day, thereafter 70 %)

There are additional subsidies for travel costs. The amount depends on the distance between the departure and arrival countries.
