ENHANCE

ENHANCE is the European association of seven technical universities with strong innovation and research capabilities coordinated by Technische Universität Berlin.

Quality and Innovation Offensive (QIO)

TU Berlin is implementing several measures in the areas of “quality of teaching/open university” as well as “digitalization and innovation” as part of the Berlin Quality and Innovation Offensive (QIO). Particular focus is placed on issues such as supporting international students during their studies (ErSTi) and collaborative online international learning (COIL).

Foro Académico Chile-Alemania

The Foro Académico Chile-Alemania lays the foundation for the creation of a permanent and long-term scientific cooperation platform for Chilean and German universities.

Global Centre G-WAC

The German-West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention, based in Ghana, promotes transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary research on the key drivers of pandemics as well as essential elements of resilient health systems.

Global Centre TRAJECTS

The Transnational Centre for Just Transitions in Energy, Climate and Sustainability, with regional hubs in Colombia, South Africa and Germany, promotes transcontinental and transdisciplinary exchange, research and education on climate change mitigation and just transitions to a sustainable future.

VORsprung

The VORsprung project is a digital program to enable prospective students to prepare in advance in their own countries for a degree program in a STEM subject in Germany.

The Digital Campus project aims to develop a portal of networked platform services for information, recruitment, and linguistic, professional and cultural preparation of international students.

INSYSTED - student mobility in a virtual factory

“Integrated System for European Digital Learning,” an ERASMUS+ project, aimed to promote virtual mobility in the Industrial Engineering and Management degree program. A consortium of partners from Germany, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom worked on a digital learning platform to enable the largest possible number of students to learn across borders.

CAMINOS

The aim of the CAMINOS project was to strengthen integration within the Latin American Higher Education area by developing and disseminating a handbook on the organization of intra-Latin American mobility. Rather than creating new mobility programs, the goal was to provide an overview of existing programs and to adapt and improve structures drawing on experiences gained in Europe. CAMINOS focused on how the structured mobility of students and researchers within bi-lateral and multi-lateral agreements can contribute to deepening relationships between universities.

YEBO!

The goal of YEBO! was to develop the internationalization of doctoral studies in South Africa. As part of the project, trainings and conferences were held for doctoral students, academic supervisors and administrative personnel. On the YEBO! PhD portal provides information on funding opportunities, doctoral programs abroad, offers for international mobility, administrative processes and training materials.

ZIIK

The Center for International and Intercultural Communication (ZiiK) focuses on intercultural issues within the area of computer science and IT. Set up in 2000, it was located until 2021 at Faculty IV, where it was headed by Dr. Nazir Peroz. During this period, a number of development cooperation projects in the field of IT and informatics were developed and implemented. The ZiiK also included the Department of Comupter Science and Developing Countries  at TU Berlin as well as Faculty IV's professional mentor program.

mindSET

The four partners of the project Training the mindSET - Improving and Internationalizing Skills Trainings for Doctoral Candidates (mindSET) have developed a European core curriculum, training materials and tools for the development of transferrable skills of doctoral candidates. The resulting materials are also freely available to other universities for use and further development.

QPL – Quality Pact for Teaching – tu study & buddy

TU study & buddy was a mentoring and buddy program for students, which included the projects TU Tandem, External Mentoring plus, and Buddy International (INT SB). The support provided by trained peer mentors was well received by students and helped them to master complex transitions and special challenges..
