Funding offers for mobilities

International Affairs offers researchers and staff a variety of opportunities for funding individual mobility (Erasmus+, TU Berlin staff mobility programme, funding for mobilities of junior researchers).

Erasmus+ cooperation projects

The Erasmus+ program offers a range of funding lines for supporting international cooperation projects. We offer you information about the funding lines most relevant for TU Berlin as well as the Erasmus+ specific application procedures at TU Berlin.

ENHANCE scholarships for research and study visits

Within the framework of ENHANCE, Master's students and doctoral candidates have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for research or study visits of 1 to 3 months at one of the ENHANCE partner universities. Information on funding can be found here.

TRAJECTS Research Stays

TRAJECTS Junior and Senior Research Stays support research stays and internships with TRAJECTS network partners in the Global South. TRAJECTS is a DAAD-funded center with hubs in Colombia and South Africa, which has global sustainability transitions as its overarching theme. During their stays, funded students and researchers work on issues in the TRAJECTS thematic area in close cooperation with their hosts. Funding is also available for junior and senior researchers from the Global South who would like to complete stays at TU institutions with a TRAJECTS connection.

Oxford-Berlin

The University of Oxford has a partnership with the four member institutions of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA). Innovative scientific cooperation in the humanities, social sciences, medicine, and STEM subjects are funded at institutional level within this partnership.

Chorafas Prize

The Dimitris N. Chorafas Foundation annually awards international prizes to doctoral candidates for outstanding research work.
Please find more information about the next round of funding here.

SPRINT - TU Berlin FAPESP cooperation initiation program (Brazil)

Members of TU Berlin may apply for mobility and cooperation initiation funds together with researchers from the state of São Paulo within the framework of the SPRINT funding program. The only requirement is that the Brazilian partners must already be funded by FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation).

Bench-Fees

Bench fees can be used to cover certain costs of the hosting academic chair (e.g. for teaching, research, books, office supplies, phone etc.).

A single payment of 51 euros is paid for each month a visiting scholar completes at TU Berlin.

Please note that no funding is available to finance stays for students and doctoral candidates.
It is also not possible to receive a payment if you are already receiving similar funding from another institution such as the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

If you wish to apply, please provide us with the following information:
- Title and name of your visiting scholar
- Home university including country and city
- Length of stay
- Cost center for transferring payments
