Even though we did not win, we had a lot of fun and proudly represented TU Berlin and the TKN team at the event.

<li id="news"><h2><a name="20240422-wcnc.txt">Paper presentation at IEEE WCNC 2024</a></h2>April 22, 2024<br /><img src="/feeds/news/20240422-wcnc.jpg" width="400" /><br /><a href="/~memedi/">Agon Memedi</a> presented our paper titled <a href="https://www.tkn.tu-berlin.de/bib/zubow2024plifi/">"PLiFi: Analog Amplify and Forward Relaying in Cascaded PLC-LiFi Networks"</a> at the 25th IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC 2024), which took place in Dubai, UAE.

This year marked the 25th anniversary of IEEE WCNC, featuring a rich technical program, including interesting keynotes from Theodore Rappaport (pictured above) and others.

<li id="news"><h2><a name="20240416-wmc.txt">Paper presentations at 8th MolCom Workshop 2024</a></h2>April 16, 2024<br /><img src="/feeds/news/20240416-wmc.png" width="400" /><br />The TKN group presented two research talks at <a href="https://molecularcommunications.org/">8th Workshop on Molecular Communications 2024</a>.
<a href="https://www.tkn.tu-berlin.de/team/pal/">Saswati Pal</a> analyzed how decay rates affect nanosensor performance, revealing that higher decay rates reduce variance in detection ratios.
In a second talk, <a href="https://www.tkn.tu-berlin.de/team/debus/">Lisa Y. Debus</a> presented a reinforcement learning-based synchronizer to continually adapt a decoding threshold and detect transmitted synchronization frames in a dynamic molecular communication environment.

<li id="news"><h2><a name="20240405-ccs-on-tour.txt">CCS on Tour 2024</a></h2>April 05, 2024<br /><img src="/feeds/news/20240405-ccs-on-tour.jpg" width="400" /><br />The Telecommunication Networks Group (TKN) held its annual research retreat "CCS on Tour 2024" from April 3rd to 6th. During the four-day event in Blossin, we had interesting discussions on research topics like Vehicular Clouds, machine learning, GPT, and wireless communications in 5G and 6G. We also discussed best practices for research and enjoyed social activities organized by the team.

Debus presented her research topic on Molecular Communication receivers with Machine Learning modules, <a href="https://www.tkn.tu-berlin.de/team/pal/">Saswati Pal</a> introduced her research topic with information freshness in the human body, and <a href="https://www.tkn.tu-berlin.de/team/torres-gomez/">Jorge Torres-Gomez</a> the electric circuit model for the human vessels.
